Please hold Bexar Metro 9-1-1 Network in your prayers. Bexar County Sheriff’s lost one of their own on-duty this week. 💛🙏
This is one of my agencies that I serve in San Antonio, Texas. I’m scheduled to return in June. I love these people so much.

Good morning from DC!
I had this feeling like today was going to be a special day for class.
I’m teaching Managing Mental Health Related Calls in memory of “Jimmy”, who made a positive impact on my home center over time as a caller.
Lexi, 3 months on and Terri, one month on were sort of looking at each other in the first hour of class.
They are second cousins and hadn’t seen each other since early childhood! Colleagues and had no idea.
The power of class. Love this team and what I get to do with them.

** Party host, Sheila, is a former 911 dispatcher and someone who has supported 911 through training and technology for 35+ years.
This year I’m focusing on restoration, relaxation and exploration. I already have the focus on work thing down! We all need more fun.
There is no pressure to host or be part of the team - just the most fun I’ve seen online, ever!
Please follow and support this 911 hero and I’ll see you on a live show! She’s on Sunday and Thursday.
❓NEVER HEARD of Bomb Party? 🧐CURIOUS about learning more? Or already 🥰LOVING it?
VOTE in the poll so I can learn what interests you most!

In 911 we encounter the devastation of other people and take it on long enough to provide help.
This can make you introspective over time to a point that it can be overwhelming. We know cause and effect better than anyone else in society. We know what can go wrong.
Having some faith that you will end up where you are supposed to be with the right people around you provides solace in the uncertainty of life.
A non-911 friend of mine posted this message and it resonated with the 911 part of me that is embedded in my soul.
My hope is that it will provide peace to the right heroes today who need it.

Happy Monday 911 heroes!
Reach for the heavens and know all things are possible when we are willing to both give generously AND receive, without overthinking it.
You are worthy of all good things.
In your corner always.

It is finally here! Lori Preuss’s groundbreaking telecommunications magazine is officially launched. It will impact the world.
Vanished Voices is the cover piece I put my heart and soul into, hoping to shine light on the devastating continued loss of Native American women.

I am excited to have been asked to write the piece, Vanishing Voices.
We bring into the light the devastation and atrocity of missing & murdered indigenous women & girls. And start the conversation of what 911, on the frontline of humanity, can do to be ready to help.
Long before I was a 911 professional, I was a journalist working for Gannett. That’s why I launched a publishing company. The stories of people have always sat within the core of me. I wrote my first book as a fifth grader. The school secretary typed it for me. ☺️
911 became my journey because I fell in love with the work of first responders while covering them as a reporter - police, fire, ems, dispatchers. I loved them all. I started as an EMT sponsored by Gold Cross ambulance services and eventually came inside to 911 for what I thought would be a brief stint.
It held my heart and mind for 27.5 operational years. 💛❤️💙This hold on me continues today through training across the country.
The Commverse, founded and led by my friend and colleague of 20 years, Lori Preuss, is the chance to bring critical words and meaning to our Telecommunicator mission; in an international format that can be heard or read.
I am so proud of what she has created. It’s remarkable to watch the vision become reality. Please send her congratulations for what she is doing with her innate gifts to help us all.
Let the journey begin!
