🎯 Northridge High School JROTC Air Rifle Shooting Team - Teamwork Pays Off! 🎯
The NHS JROTC Air Rifle Shooting Team finished in 4th place at the Marine Corps JROTC National Championships in Anniston, AL, on February 14th & 15th! With 19 teams and 96 shooters in the competition, our team worked together, pushed each other to new heights, and made it to the top!
The top 7 teams from each service will move on to the All-Service Nationals in March, and we’re proud to say Northridge earned its spot!
Congratulations to Tim Longacre for finishing 5th overall individually and earning his CMP Junior Distinguished badge after three years of hard work and dedication. 🏅
We also want to highlight Marcos Morales, a novice shooter who made his first appearance at the national level of competition! Marcos showed incredible poise and maturity, and we’re excited to see his growth and potential in the future. 🙌
This event wasn’t just about the competition, however, – our team also spent time learning and growing together at the Anniston Natural History & Berman Museum, making this an experience that went beyond just shooting.
We couldn’t be more proud of how each member came together, learned from each other, and supported one another every step of the way. Here’s to teamwork, growth, and the journey ahead!
Go Grizzlies!

The Northridge MCJROTC program celebrated the 249th Birthday of the Marine Corps at the UNC Ballroom on November 16, 2024, and we would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of our Cadets, families and esteemed guests for attending. Your presence made the evening truly special as we honored the legacy of the Marine Corps. Additionally, the cadets involved in the ceremony performed flawlessly before the packed room of 350 guests, showcasing their hard work and dedication to maintaining only the highest standards of the United States Marine Corps. Great job to you all!
A special thank you to Colonel Robert Bodisch for joining us as our distinguished Guest of Honor, and for providing us all with inspiring words and anectodes from a storied career spanning over three decades!
The evening was made extra special with the program's Battalion Commander, C/Major Ethan Kintzley being presented the Legion of Valor (LOV) Bronze Cross by Col Bodisch. The LOV is the highest award bestowed upon a cadet, and this year it was awarded to only four of the roughly 27,000 MCJROTC cadets throughout the United States and overseas; a testament to Ethan's exceptional dedication and leadership. Congratulations, C/Major Kintzley!
This was truly an evening to remember, and we look forward to celebrating the milestone 250th with you all next year!
SEMPER FIDELIS!!!
