This is a wonderful cause to donate to. I teach adults at CP. This is for their children's center playground with adapted equipment, a music area and more. They need to redo the asphalt walkways, especially for the wheelchairs. The walk this Saturday is 8:30am at Eisenhower Park. Join us!

SherryBerry Art is a traditional, inventive and personalized approach to fun and learning for children and adults.
That means:
The learning of drawing, painting, clay and paper building techniques happens mostly through fun, individualized art projects. (Sometimes we even make our own games. Often we mix in a bit of new vocabulary, art history, math, music and science skills.)
Drawing is taught by training students to use their own unique powers of observation as well as improving their manual skills. More than one way to measure and draw is presented.
We do not copy pictures or rely on clay molds...or look at digital screens, unless there is a particular, momentary reference, like looking up a famous artist’s work.
I will quickly learn what lights up your smile or your child's smile, while teaching the key elements of design and providing a wide range of materials for experimentation.
LET’S CHAT. Tell me your goals and favorites so I can share some of the fun projects we might work on, together.
SherryBerry arts and crafts projects help with focus, eye/hand coordination, muscle strengthening, communication and socialization.
My diverse background includes business:
- Certified to teach art in New York and experienced in teaching ages three up at Brooklyn, NY high school, Port Washington Children’s Center, Timberlake Camp. Most recent experience includes Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County. Post grad experiences include the Carnegie Mellon art and architecture students’ summer studies in Lucca, Italy and the School of Visual Arts evening programs.
- My background as a creative director and marketing professional helps me to pay unusual attention to what you or your child wants and needs to have a joyful learning experience.
- Mother of a daughter and a son.
Philosophy: "Color inside AND outside of the lines!"
We all need to acquire technical skill sets, control of tools and materials, and benefit from formal approaches BUT encouraging our own creative thinking, experimentation and problem solving supersedes all of the above!
