Class Descriptions:
- Technique: In this class students work on refining leg extensions, gaining flexibility, chin stands and other skills, gaining strength for technical moves in dance as well as control.
- Combination: This class includes a cardio warm up followed by stretching and strengthening exercises. In the fall semester, we rotate learning new combinations each week. These styles include contemporary, jazz, and lyrical.
- Leaps/Turns: In the beginning of class, dancers work on exercises that help with learning proper alignment for pirouettes, strengthening muscles for leaps and finding their balance. After this, students progress through various different types of leaps and turns.
- Ballet: In ballet, students learn terminology, proper alignment/posture, progressions that advance their port de bra work, vaganova ballet technique and exercises that help improve flexibility.
- Conditioning: This class combines endurance training, dance strengthening exercises and targets different muscle groups both with and without weights to help elevate students dancing in various styles of dance.
- Private Lessons: Working one on one with each student on their specific training and dance goals. Each session is personalized to the dancer to help advance their skills.
