We're looking for our next Director of Development!

Woman Within Western USA is seeking a volunteer board member to lead fundraising for our region. The responsibilities with this role involve building donor relationships, coordinating online giving, and working with the board to grow our impact.

We're looking for someone who has staffed a WW weekend, ideally lives in our western region, and brings passion, self-motivation, and strong people skills. Marketing, accounting, or grant-writing experience is a bonus, not a requirement.

We are absolutely oozing with appreciation for Hailey Shingleton, who has held the Board position as Director of Communications for Woman Within Western USA for two years.

Hailey has been the powerhouse behind our social media, advertising and newsletters, taking the role to new levels with her marketing experience and expertise. There's no doubt that the systems she implemented behind the scenes helped bring more women to find Woman Within spaces of support, community, empowerment and healing.

She completed the Woman Within Weekend in Nevada City, April, 2024 and the Circle Training and Advanced Skills Workshop shortly after.

FUN FACT: Hailey resides in the beautiful state of Utah, and "all the men in her life" are involved in the Mankind Project.

She has been a joy and delight to work with, and we wish her all the best as she steps off the Board (for now 😉) to focus on her career.

This week, the Board would like to welcome our new Staff Coordinator, Andrea (Andy) Steele, to the Extended Leadership Team! 🌷
Andy completed her Woman Within Weekend in Yucaipa in February 2025 and enjoys serving in her role as a way to learn something new while supporting a mission she deeply believes in. Her thoughtful presence and commitment to giving back are appreciated within our community.
Outside of Woman Within, Andy loves spending time skiing with her boys and enjoying the moments of connection and adventure that come with it.
Fun fact: Andy never imagined she would end up working in IT and cybersecurity, but life has a way of leading us down unexpected and interesting paths. 😊

This week, the Board would like to welcome our new Southern California Supplies Coordinator Teri, to the Extended Leadership Team! Teri is a wonderful member of our Woman Within community whose thoughtful spirit, love of service, and attention to detail bring so much care to the work we do together. ❤️

Teri completed her Woman Within Weekend in Oracle in the fall of 2023 and has since enjoyed serving other women on Weekends, including in her role as Supplies Coordinator. For Teri, the role is a perfect fit, combining her love of organization, list-making, and meaningful contribution in support of transformational experiences for women.

Outside of Woman Within, Teri enjoys writing, spending time with friends and family, and recently began learning embroidery. She also admits to loving a good task list and the satisfaction of checking things off along the way.

Fun fact: Teri absolutely loves snorkeling, being in the ocean, and observing the natural world around her. Water will always be her first choice, though the woods come in as a close second. 😊

A beautiful Woman Within weekend recently took place in Petaluma, CA, filled with courage, connection, and growth. 🌱

To the women who showed up willing to do the work, and to the women who led and held space with such care and wisdom—what a powerful reminder of what becomes possible when women come together in support of one another. 💕
