Plans for the day:

Starting off with some quality time with hubby 💕

Next, clean off our deck and walkway.

Then onto GARDENING! Freshen up some of my potted plants, plant some veggies and herbs, pull a few weeds.

Next, groom and love in tmy horses!

Finish up with some BBQ and greatfullness for a wonderful day!

Happy Wednesday! Homeschooling your kids means more time with them, especially during their formative years. As a mom of three boys, I found great benefits in teaching them from home and this was one of them.

As you teach your kids, you don't have to spend unnecessary amounts of time going over information that your child fully understands already. Why take 45 minutes going over a subject that they get in 15? As a parent who homeschooled my three boys, I truly appreciated being able to decide how long we would spend on each subject.

When you are homeschooling you can spend the time necessary on each subject with your child so that they "get it." You can find balance and avoid "over-doing" it so that your child doesn't become frustrated, thinking they are stupid or wrong. How sad that would be! Our kids have enough attacks on their self-esteem and there is no need to add to this.

According to research done for my book, "The quickest Way to Insanity - Homeschool Your Kids", when you are pregnant with a boy, early on in that pregnancy the brain gets a chemical bath. This bath will alter the size of 12 different areas of the brain! This bath slows down the maturity of the male brain, particularly on the left side, which focuses on things such as spelling, reading, and speech. Therefore, if you have a young boy, please be patient with them, especially in these areas. It is going to take them more time than it will a young girl around the same age.
