Cannon STEM second graders turned a social studies lesson on good citizenship into a real-life act of kindness! To honor local heroes this September 11, students wrote heartfelt thank-you notes for the Grapevine Police Department and Grapevine Fire Department. Our teachers are so creative in helping lessons come alive, while engaging with our community. Great job!

If you were seeing dots at our elementary campuses yesterday, it was in celebration of International Dot Day, a fun day to connect, collaborate and create. Students and staff dressed in dots and creatively added the dot theme to their class lessons. The day centers around lessons from the book, "The Dot," which inspires students to "make their mark" and believe in the power and potential of creativity in all they do.

GCISD has two National Math Stars! Congratulations to third grader Timothy Tu and fourth grader Ansh Badhey, both Glenhope Elementary School students. They were among only 618 selected for demonstrating a 1-in-1000 talent and aptitude for math from a pool of nearly 9,000 applicants from around the country.
