Learning went far beyond the classroom this May. 🇳🇵
This May, ten Calvin pre-health students traveled to Nepal for an immersive learning experience, gaining firsthand exposure to healthcare in a different cultural and clinical setting. Through hospital visits, conversations with physicians, and real-world observation, students explored the challenges and rewards of providing compassionate care while broadening their understanding of healthcare around the world.

What began as a season of hopelessness inside prison became a calling to serve others.
Through the Calvin Prison Initiative at Calvin, Kyle, Leon, and Ben discovered purpose, community, and a renewed sense of identity. Today, they are using what they’ve learned to mentor peers, tutor others, mediate conflicts, and support healing within their prison community.
This spring, they joined more than 100 graduates who have earned bachelor’s degrees through CPI, proving that education can be a powerful force for restoration, renewal, and human flourishing.
