'They're adopting us. We're not adopting them': Happy Cat Cafe nears 1,000 adoptions The Happy Cat Cafe opened eight years ago as a way to allow people a moment to go to a cafe and hang out with cats.

20 years ago today, Ben DeVoe passed away. We all know he was a passionate, caring, talented human. He touched every one of our lives in more ways than one. Mr.DeVoe made a lasting impression on my life and I wouldn't be who I am today, without his influence on my life. I've gained so many life lessons from his teaching and some of my longest and greatest friendships have come from people I've played with in orchestra in his classes. I've been blessed with only knowing him for 6 1/2- 7 years of my life and I still remember the first time I met him. I was playing Walker rec. Softball and his daughter Michelle was on the same team as me. I remember telling him I played the violin and couldn't wait to start orchestra the new year. I don't remember what he exactly said, but it left me positive. The next chapter of my life was definitely something special and I'm happy for all my experiences through that time. I'm happy that I still have a relationship with his family, though I haven't seen them in a long time, I'm happy that I am able to follow along with their lives and hopefully that's a mutual feeling with them too! LoL
