The smallest things hold their attention the longest. These girls are intently and patiently waiting to watch these caterpillars transform into beautiful butterflies. Moments like these remind us that wonder, patience, and learning go hand in hand. At Moving Mountains, even the tiniest discoveries become meaningful learning experiences.

This one Band-Aid tells a story.

I was out sick yesterday, and today one of my students brought me this Band-Aid to help me feel better. Something so small carried so much love behind it.

Moments like this are exactly why I do what I do. These children show compassion, empathy, and kindness in the purest way. They remind me every day that caring for others comes naturally when children are raised in an environment filled with love and respect.

I feel incredibly loved, appreciated, and thankful to be part of these little lives at Moving Mountains Montessori.

Watching concentration, coordination, and confidence grow one cylinder at a time

This sweet friend is working with the Montessori Knobless Cylinders — four beautiful sets of cylinders that challenge the child to observe, compare, and discover how dimensions change and work together. Each color corresponds with a different cylinder block series, helping the child build deeper understanding through hands-on exploration.

By stacking and arranging the cylinders, children strengthen:
✨ Visual discrimination
✨ Problem-solving skills
✨ Fine motor coordination
✨ Concentration and independence
✨ Early mathematical thinking

The Montessori approach allows them to learn by doing, giving them the freedom to explore concepts at their own pace while building confidence in their abilities.

The focus, patience, and determination in moments like these are exactly why we love Montessori learning so much

The work never stops, but my heart is full.

Owning a school and serving my community has been one of the most challenging and rewarding journeys of my life. There were moments I never thought this day would come, and now I get to walk through these doors every day watching children grow, learn, laugh, and become confident little humans.

Seeing the fruits of all the hard work, long nights, sacrifices, and dedication reminds me exactly why I started Moving Mountains Montessori.

We still have so much more of our journey ahead, and I’m excited to see what’s in store for our school, our families, and this amazing community. Thank you to everyone who believes in our vision and trusts us with your children.

We are just getting started.

Color mixing is always such an amazing work!

Using droppers, water, food coloring, and a paint palette, the children get a hands-on science experience while exploring how colors change and mix together. Watching their excitement as they discover new colors is priceless!

This work also helps strengthen fine motor skills, concentration, hand-eye coordination, and independence — all while feeling like play.

Simple activities can create the biggest learning moments, and the children stayed so focused and engaged the entire time!

Watching these little learners grow in confidence has been such a joy

In Montessori, we meet each child exactly where they are. One child may need a little more guidance and encouragement, while another is ready to move more independently and both are perfect exactly as they are.

We begin writing with chalk because the resistance helps strengthen little hands and gives children more control as they form letters. As we practice together, we use simple phrases and repeated movements to help each child remember how to build their letters with confidence.

Learning is not about perfection. It’s about patience, persistence, and feeling safe enough to try again. Watching these kiddos work through challenges, celebrate small victories, and improve a little more every day is what makes this work so meaningful.

Thank you to the families who trust us to help guide and shape their little ones with love, understanding, and encouragement.

Montessori is more than a classroom — it is a place where children build confidence, independence, creativity, and a true love of learning through hands-on experiences.

Our summer program is filled with practical life activities, art, outdoor exploration, sensory experiences, early academics, and meaningful social connections in a calm and nurturing environment. Children learn at their own pace while being guided with kindness and respect.

At Moving Mountains Montessori, every child is seen as an individual, and we create opportunities for them to grow socially, emotionally, and academically all summer long.

We currently have a few summer spaces left! Come see why families are falling in love with Montessori.

Spring is in bloom at Moving Mountains Montessori! We refreshed our practical life shelf with beautiful new containers to bring a fresh spring feeling into the classroom. These hands-on works help our young learners build confidence, strengthen fine motor skills, and develop focus all while feeling proud of what they can do independently.

The classroom is growing and changing with the seasons, and we love watching the children blossom right along with it!

We still have spaces available for summer programs and the upcoming school year — come grow with us!

Buzzing into learning!

Our insect three-part cards are helping children build vocabulary, strengthen matching skills, and spark curiosity about the world around them. Children love naming each insect as they work independently and proudly show what they know!

One of the best things about Montessori materials is that they can be created for almost any interest or theme, making learning meaningful and fun.
