Losing weight is all about recognizing and changing your habits around food. I started with one habit, drinking more water. With the help of NOOM, and Saxenda (Rx) over the past several years, I’ve lost 50 lbs! I help people with the thinking (habits) that are holding them back. Reach out if you want help!

Remember these? Dusted off my golf shoes after 30 years, and hit a bucket of balls with David at the range. Can pretty much hit almost 100 yards most of the time! Not a bad start :-)

Easter 2021 (L) 2018 (R) Proud of the changes we’ve made over time. David’s holding steady after a year at an 80 lb weight loss, and I’ve lost 35 lb (so far) much more slowly over a lot longer period of time. We didn’t do it alone either, we got help from our doctor and in February I started using NOOM to help meet my goal. If you’ve got a goal you’re trying to meet, you don’t have to do it alone, and you don’t have to do it overnight. And please don’t measure your now, against my 2 year journey. Here’s to small wins over time that add up!

Bloom where you’re planted (even if that’s the middle of the front yard).

Date night at Horrock’s Farm Market in Lansing. Fresh everything. We bought beautiful rosemary and sage for the infamous Sonny Hurrell , fresh almond butter and fresh made gelato. Yum!

Practicing is an interesting word isn’t it? It means I’m not good at this all the time, and I want to be better. I want to be more kind, and I don’t want my idea of what’s right to keep getting in my way.

Don’t sweat the small stuff. Life is full of beautiful fleeting moments, try to be present for them as much as possible, or they sneak by and you’ll have missed them.

Mama’s new favorite wine! Enjoying a quiet day up north while family is skiing. (Healing from carpal tunnel surgery, minor inconvenience to sleep well again :-)

The idea of being “right” can be a pervasive (negative) thought pattern. Pay attention to how often you think or use the word “should”. THIS is you THINKING you are right. Notice. Breathe. Put yourself in someone else’s shoes. Chose Kindness.

Most of the time your thinking is running you instead of you taking charge of your thinking. With 90-95% of your thinking on the unconscious level, most of the time you never stop to pause and ask where did that thought come from? Are your thoughts accurate and true? Where did your programming come from? Have you possibly outgrown it? If you never stop to pause and ask yourself these questions, then your thinking will take you where it may…and you will call it fate.
