Many GISH students have been involved in honor bands over the past 2 days. The Hastings honor band performs tonight in the Hastings 1st Presbyterian Church at 5:30pm and the All City Honor Band performs at 7:00pm at GINW auditorium. Very proud of these students!

Big Band Night is a GO and will be held at RAILSIDE this evening. Clouds expected to break up this afternoon and winds expected to drop. Even though the weather is looking better at this point, PLEASE plan for worst case scenario and be prepared for cold. (Jackets, Gloves, Hat) We will have 2, 40,000 BTU patio heaters on site if anyone needs to warm up a bit throughout the evening.

7:30pm GISH Jazz Orchestra

Come hungry! Carolinas Antojitos will be there serving food! Support BIG RED TREATS (15% of sales go back to the band!)

Bring a chair and blanket. Come out and enjoy some “cool” jazz to wrap up Jazz appreciation month and usher in the start of Summer concerts and activities. And most of all….SUPPORT YOUR WONDERFUL STUDENTS!! What an AWESOME bunch of kids we are blessed to have involved in GIPS MUSIC!!!

Big Band Night is THIS Friday at Railside!! BIG RED TREATS will be sponsoring this year's Big Band Night and will be open before, during and for an hour following Big Band Night. 15% of all BIG RED TREATS sales during the evening will go to support Grand Island bands. ALSO...CAROLINA'S ANTOJITOS will be there serving food, so be sure to COME HUNGRY!!

IF the weather is uncooperative, BIG BAND NIGHT will be moved to the Grand Island Senior High School West Gym. A weather call will be made on Friday morning. Either way....come out and celebrate Jazz Appreciation Month by taking in some excellent jazz!! It's going to be a great evening of Jazz and fun!
