I consider Martile Rowland the "final boss" in my voice teacher line-up. She helped me to understand what "appogio" (or "support") feels like in the body. She helped me unlock the bottom of my voice so that the top of my voice could really fill up a room. And, maybe most importantly, she helped to rebuild the confidence that I had lost in all the conservatory nonsense I went through.
Please, PLEASE listen to all of the fantastic singing this woman possessed (or just scroll to the last 45 seconds to hear an E flat you'll never forget) and has passed to so many other fabulous people. I am forever grateful to her.
