North Stanly High School Class of '85 30th reunion

Okay, classmates.
The plans are being made for our 40th high school class reunion.
We will meet at the football game the night of October 3, 2025.
For those of you who live away from the area, you are going to be pleasantly surprised with the community development in Stanly County over the years. There will be multiple options for your dining pleasure and evening ventures.
On Saturday, October 4, we will have a family/group picnic at the New London Park from 11 AM - 2 PM.
The remainder of that evening is still being planned.
It would be great to have some ideas of what you all would like to do, so feel free to assist. Thank you!

It is with great sadness that I share our classmate Vickie Harris passed away on Christmas. She was a classmate with many of us at Richfield Elementary School and North Stanly High School. I will let you know about the arrangements as they are announced. Please keep her family and friends close to your hearts.

Hello, classmates! Although 2020 has been quite a year thus far, we are approaching the 35-year reunion time! I have been approached by several in our class about a gathering for later this year. It would be great if we could have our "reunion" with Albemarle High School's graduating class of 1985. Please feel free to express how you feel about this idea or possible other ideas. Please help spread the word to other classmates. Go Comets!

Homecoming weekend dates: September 25 & 26
Friday evening event: NSHS football game against North Moore at 7:00 PM
Little Tokyo Restaurant & Lounge will accommodate our class after the game. The address is 1446 US Hwy 52 N in Albemarle, NC (across from Whispering Pines)
Saturday, September 26th reunion location:
Sawtooth Farm 14850 Hwy 49 Gold Hill NC (Matt Barringer's place)
Matt said anyone that wants to camp at Sawtooth Farm can set up on Friday or Saturday (either tent or Winnebago)
Matt, Andy & Allen will be cooking all day Saturday to prepare for the gathering. For those who want to come help set up, be there by 3 PM. Menu includes: Boston butt, chicken, deer meat and wild Turkey. If there is something you want in the place of these meats, bring to throw in the grill. There will be baked beans, potato salad, slaw, buns, etc. and all condiments to accompany the meats.
Let’s bring a dessert to go with our meal. Cake, pie, cobbler, or anything sweet.
Afternoon activities will include:
Fishing in the pond (bring your own fishing rods) and there will also be a s***t shoot
The “welcome” and saying of grace will start at 7:00 PM.
DJ will be entertainment.
Matt said we are all welcomed to stay as long as we want to hang out.
Donations will be accepted for the DJ and all the food. Our class will need to provide the following:
Cups, plates, napkins, forks, spoons, knives, and ice
