Today, I had energy to go to Omaha, NE to learn how to take care of my beautiful new wig from that has helped me tremendously to feel more confident in this new chapter of my life after losing all my hair from chemo treatments.

Tracy invited me to this women’s quarterly meeting called where they share their courageous stories and how they are impacting the community. It was powerful and felt strongly that I need to hear survivor stories of cancer as I am currently fighting for my life.


If you haven’t been to to eat their delish food, then what are you waiting for? I tried their empanadas, tacos, Brazilian sandwich, garden gnome mocktail. YOLO! 😋 Who wants to eat and vibe with me next round?

Lately, I have been experiencing judgments that have been unsolicited. I didn’t pay a penny for their thoughts and felt more judged than loved these past few weeks. At the end of the day, I needed to stand strong in who I am as a person and the life I am living that feels true to me. Their opinions don’t get to define me, label me, or get the final say.

If you can relate to this, please know that I am a safe space for you to share your heart without reservations. I feel honored and grateful that ANYONE can come to me about ANYTHING without judgement because let’s face it that not everyone in our circle feels safe. Let’s have a tea party together and spill the tea 🫖 🍵.

I loved lounging around with these SW Iowa women who are thriving in 2025 at . In Greek culture, parea is more than just socialising — it is a space for the growth of the human spirit and the exchange of ideas to enrich our quality of life which I can definitely say without a doubt this happened in this space. Thank you Julie for inviting me and speakers for offering your invaluable insights for a small business owner living in a small town. Freedom to flourish is our state motto in Iowa!

Happy Belated ! These memories from 2020 popped up and I couldn't help but reflect on my yoga journey. I remember starting my new business "Creative Freedoms" on a leap of faith and these women believed in me (still do!) and I can't believe it's been 5 years since then.

I remember how my friend Tamara and I met at a yoga retreat and she invited me into her home because she had her own yoga studio. I remember how nervous I was to lead these women into a guided meditation but how life giving it was to each heart received. I remember seeing hearts transformed before my eyes (including me) and wish we took before and after photos to demonstrate God's healing love.

I remember how much empowerment came through these women who encouraged me to keep going no matter what! I remember all the laughter from goat yoga with Stephanie on her new property and how much medicine came from her herd of animals. All this to say, Thank You from the bottom of my heart for leading me forward and will continue to be a life-giving force like you have been for me.

P.S. I've had a few women ask me if I'll be starting faith-based yoga again and the answer is YES (First Day of Spring (March 20th) Meet me on your mats at 6:10 P.M. and bring a friend! This yoga class is restorative yoga so you will be rested before bedtime.

I can’t get enough of this devotional lately called, “Romancing the Ordinary” about splendor in simple moments. I mailed a letter to myself using my most beautiful paper, most flowing pen, and using the most luxurious language to recount a special memory, confess a hope or wish, and lavish praise to my heart.

I addressed the envelope to myself with a stamp and will wait 1 week to open and read it. I might giggle, blush, dry a tear, press the page to my heart or in a book. If I enjoy this process enough, I might just collect these letters to reread or imagine someone discovering them in an attic after I’m gone. How are you being kind to your heart this season?
