Vote for change in District 225 School Board!
Read directly from students:
The [Glenbrook South High School] Oracle Editorial Board believes the administration should work to address the overarching issues that are deep-rooted within South by actively communicating with students and providing them with the support they may need, rather than paving over underlying issues with new restrictions on the student body.
In order comes chaos: student body struggles to adapt
To ensure students stay in appropriate areas while outside of the classroom, South’s administration met to discuss new policies for this school year, Dr. Lara Cummings, Assistant Principal for Student Services, said. These rules include restrictions regarding lunch seating areas and hallway access...

Track Record Matters. We deserve better. The last 4 years under current Glenbrook South High School and Glenbrook North High School school board - hear from the students directly: “It’s time for accountability” vote independent, we can’t afford to have another 4 years of misconduct and unethical leadership
It’s Time for Accountability
On Aug. 7, senior Veronika Gliwa spent the night in shock, pouring through a 1036-page document detailing allegations of harassment between former Principal Dr. Lauren Fagel and staff members, and text chains filled with what she saw as degrading comments about the events of the past few school year...

Invest in the Mental Health and Well-Being of Our Educators
Our teachers, staff, and administrators play a critical role in shaping the future of our students. It's time we prioritize their mental health, social-emotional security, and well-being. We must put an end to verbal abuse, teasing, and exclusion within our school community.
The Numbers Don’t Lie:
According to the Glenbrook North High School Climate Study, many of our educators and staff members feel unsafe from verbal abuse, teasing, and exclusion: of those who responded:
Teachers: 61% feel unsafe
Paraprofessionals: 69% feel unsafe
Support Staff (Security Officers, Cafeteria Workers, Bus Drivers, Custodians, etc.): 68% feel unsafe
Administrators: 56% feel unsafe
Other Professional Staff: 55% feel unsafe
The situation is even worse for Asian Teachers, with 83% reporting they feel unsafe.
At Glenbrook South High School (GBS), the numbers are even higher for those who feel unsafe: of those who responded:
Teachers: 68% feel unsafe
Asian Teachers: 76% feel unsafe
Support Staff: 71% feel unsafe
Paraprofessionals: 70% feel unsafe
Administrators: 48% feel unsafe
Other Professional Staff: 67% feel unsafe
It’s clear: We must take action to protect and support those who care for our students.
We need to stop harassment, verbal abuse, teasing, and exclusion. Let's invest in our educators and create an environment where they feel safe and valued. Together, we can build a better, more inclusive future for everyone in our schools.

Let's Set Higher Standards for District 225
The past four years under the current District 225 School Board have highlighted significant issues that require immediate attention and a commitment to higher standards. We can no longer accept a culture that allows bullying, hate speech, racism, harassment or abuse to persist (especially by Administrators and Teachers) . It's time to raise the bar for our schools and ensure a safe and uplifting environment for all students.

League of Women Voters Glenview-Glencoe sent these ground rules out: Northbrook Public Library "policy prohibits campaigning and materials on library premises"
All 4 candidates for Northbrook Trustee and all 3 Independent District 225 Board candidates Paul Eisenstadt, Lisa Kane, and me, followed the rules, except for 4 Caucus Candidates who distributed campaign materials with Paul's, Lisa's, and my name crossed out and a red X to our names.
According to the NB Library, the 4 Caucus Candidates claim "They were unaware of the email sent by the League of Women Voters the previous evening clarifying that campaign materials would not be allowed per library policy." They claim "Upon learning about this policy from another candidate at the event, the candidate promptly removed the materials." Yet there were dozens of these flyers found by a Library Employee.
In a school district where 59% - 82% of GBN and GBS students do not feel safe from "verbal abuse, teasing, and exclusion" according to Comprehensive School Climate Inventory (CSCI), do you really want to vote for 4 Caucus Candidates that
1. Don't follow the rules
2. Don't read their emails
3. Distributes campaign materials excluding others.
There were SEVEN other candidates who attended the events and followed the rules.
District 225 deserves a Board of Education that has integrity and does the right thing.
