Agape Christian Academy

On September 3rd we celebrated the beginning of Agape Christian Academy new school year with an Agiasmos Holy Water blessing service.

Bring Vasiliko!
We celebrate the Exaltation of the Holy Cross tomorrow morning (Sat. Sept.14) with 8:30am Orthros/Matins and 9:30am Divine Liturgy.
We ask that anyone who is able to bring vasilko (basil sprigs) to be blessed and to share with those in attendance.

The demonic hosts tremble when they see the Cross, for by the Cross the kingdom of hell was destroyed. (St John Maximovitch +1966)

Come to Orthros (8:30am) and Divine Liturgy (9:30am) TODAY for the Procession of the Holy Cross Feast!

Today (August 1st) begins the Dormition Fast lasting two weeks to prepare for the Feast of the Falling Asleep of the Ever-Virgin Mary Theotokos.

Please check calendar for schedule of Paraklesis services. Bring names of the living to be commemorated during those communal prayers.

On June 30th we bid official fond farewell to an extraordinary staff person and member of our community. Patricia Trish Holtz Melidones has served as an Agape Christian Academy teacher, interim director and assistant director. She also became and Orthodox Christian about a year and half ago and jumper right in teaching Sunday Church School and serving as a youth advisor. We pray all of God's blessings to Trish and her family as they make their new home in South Carolina!

Yesterday we attended the Ascension of Our Lord Liturgy. Today we are learning about St. Nectarios. After lunch we are celebrating VCS with some fun. Stayed tuned for some more pictures
