Last week, our supervisory team got together for a leadership retreat at our Glens Falls headquarters. This is the first time in awhile that our team from all over NY was able to get together and we had a blast!

🚨 Enhancing Search & Rescue Capabilities 🚨

At Wellsville Volunteer Ambulance Corps, we continue to invest in technology, equipment, and training to better serve our community when every second counts.

Our Technical Rescue Team has expanded our search capabilities through the use of GPS mapping equipment that allows our crews to track search areas, document routes, coordinate resources, and improve communication during large-scale incidents.

When operating in challenging terrain, wooded areas, or extended searches, this technology helps ensure:
🔸 Search teams are efficiently deployed
🔸 Areas searched are accurately recorded
🔸 Command staff can track progress in real time
🔸 Resources can be better coordinated to bring loved ones home faster

Combined with our off-road rescue vehicle, Rescue 1 command resources, Rescue 4 inflatable rescue boat, and our trained rescue technicians, WVAC continues building a modern all-hazards response team ready to assist our community and neighboring agencies.
