✨ be a fish in a sea of floaties ✨ One of our clients repping Fish and Kicks at the city pool. Our lessons are life saving skills — but gosh it can also be so much fun. That feeling of confidence when they glide off a water slide and swim independently to the wall. 3 and doing jumps off the diving board. Swimming all summer at grandmas’ and grandpas’ pool. Asking for swim team, water polo, surf camp — everything started with childhood swim lessons. ❤️

Enjoying our afternoon. Big kids swimming. Moms talking. Little one playing in the shade with toys. Sound familiar? Except this little one decided something floating in the pool was much more interesting than what he was given. We blocked him a few times. Then waited to see what would happen. He reached and fell in. We pulled him out. He tried again. Fell in again. We were there to catch him. We’re trained to help him find his float. Notice there’s no swimsuit. Just regular clothes. Regular diaper. He wasn’t supposed to get in. Kids are inquisitive. They’re smart. They have wonder and desire to explore and discover. Waiting for your kid to be “ready” for swim means they’re already in the danger zone of statistics. If they can move they will find a way. Crawling through dog doors. Waiting till you look away or are helping another kid. Not having an attentive water watcher. Don’t wait. Don’t risk the fall.

Blessed by the warm weather, loving family, wonderful community and friends, and all the kids working toward water safe summers. 💜 How can we express how thankful we are for blessing we have each day?

Tiny but mighty. Infant swim really shows how strong, capable, and resilient our littlest guys are. They’re smart. They understand more than you think and they want to be independent. Giving them the tools to self rescue before their problem solving skills can be applied gives them opportunity to have that muscle memory already ingrained before they’re climbing, escaping, and exploring. We start as young as 4 months. Get your tiny team ready. Bring them to swim. Encourage. Film. Show them how awesome they are. Cheer. Practice at home. Talk with the whole family about accomplishments big and small. Celebrate the experience. Make is a whole family priority. From the tiniest to the elderly. Everyone needs to be team water safe.
