On Thursdays, we have our countries and cultures program!
Today we traveled to Japan!

We learned about the cherry blossoms and how important they are in the Japanese culture!
We learned about the festival of Sakura!

Our students really enjoyed the hands-on activities of making cherry blossoms on a stick and with special paint pens!

We’ve got some exciting news!!! We now have a Steinway Concert Grand Piano Model D in our living room- studio space!!

Steinway pianos are very prestigious and sought after!
🎹 The Model D is Steinway’s flagship concert piano

The Steinway Model D is 8’ 11¾” long and is specifically designed as a concert grand. Steinway describes it as the pinnacle of its concert-grand line and says it is the overwhelming choice of many of the world’s greatest pianists. Brand new they are over $200k!!

We got the opportunity to purchase this old piano from our old church!! We believe this was the piano Claire first took lessons and learned to play on when she was a little girl!!

We are so excited to give our students the opportunity to take lessons on this amazing instrument!! She is old but in amazing shape!

She’s all tuned up and ready for our micro school!!

And of course Claire is thrilled to have this piano to love, play, and compose on for decades to come!!

We are so grateful and excited!!

Board games, card games, building, puzzles:

All foster cooperation, collaboration, taking turns, fine motor skills, imagination!

It may look like JUST play, but there is a lot going on to form those neural brain connections and social emotional skills as well! 🤩👏🏻😊🙌🏻

We had so much fun during our summer session!!
