Has your child ever wanted to try acting? Or are they already a young performer looking to sharpen their skills, have some fun, and get back into the creative groove before the fall semester?
This Labor Day Weekend, Lawton Academy is opening our doors and inviting kids and teens to join us for three completely FREE acting workshops, with something for performers of all ages and experience levels.

🎭 LITTLE ACTORS WORKSHOP | Ages 5–7
A fun, playful introduction to acting through theater games, character creation and improvisation—designed especially for our youngest performers.
🎬 STAGE ACTING WORKSHOP | Ages 8–14
A high-energy hour of wild theater games and improvisation that challenges actors to think fast, trust their instincts, work together and tap into their imaginations.
🎥 SCREEN ACTING WORKSHOP | Ages 9–12 & 13–18
Step inside our on-site TV studio and explore the unique craft of acting for the camera! Actors will work in pairs to rehearse and film a movie scene—and we'll professionally edit, sound mix and color-correct their scenes to share with them after the workshop.

Whether they're trying acting for the very first time or already love performing, our free workshops are a chance to meet other young actors, get creative, build their skills and experience the fun of working together.

Our kids don’t spend rehearsals sitting around waiting for their turn. Our performers rotate between three teachers in three classrooms, continuously working on acting, singing and choreography — keeping them engaged, learning and having so much fun every rehearsal!

And when it’s time to take the stage, we go BIG! 🌟 Our productions incorporate Broadway-level projections and production values, giving our young performers the experience of being part of a truly spectacular theatrical production.

💗 MEAN GIRLS Wednesdays • 4:30–7:30PM Ages 10–16 The full-length Broadway version!

💚 SHREK THE MUSICAL Thursdays Ages 5–8 • 3:30PM Ages 9–13 • 5:00PM

Whether your child is an experienced performer or stepping onto the stage for the first time, our goal is to help every student build confidence, develop their craft, make friends and experience the excitement of creating a full-scale musical.
