This year each Ivy Leaguer was gifted a “Welcome Box”. The welcome box contained personalized pencil boxes , journals for our morning journal assignments, a composition book and a very special book “Life Doesn’t Frighten Me” written by Maya Angelou and illustrated by Jean-Michel Basquiat. Each book has a personal handwritten message from me, Mrs Ayesha. The significance behind the book selection was to instill confidence in the Ivy Leaguers. A reminder that no matter what, no matter where, you can do anything. Life shouldn’t frighten you. Welcome Ivy Leaguers to another great academic year. Show them some love.

I received an email that truly warmed my heart. The work and dedication that I pour into Ivy League serves as a reflection of what my mission for my program IS! To be recognized by the people who are responsible for rating all childcare facilities in the state of Maryland hits a little different. 🤗 They see it! Behind the scene I’m working and behind the scenes they see it.

Ivy League Day Care LLC was a vision that I created decades ago. I hadn’t quite thought of the name but the vision of prestige and excellence was always my mission. I went to a private school, Wynnefield Academy and the founder, the late great Katie B. Jackson quickly became my idol. Fast forward to 2018 I founded Ivy League Day Care LLC. Fast forward to 2026, Ivy League is nationally recognized, holds certifications and titles that are backed by the Maryland State Department of Education. Early childhood education is much more than “business”. Early childhood education is where the foundation to growth/development and learning begins. I am extremely proud to focus primarily on building strong relationships, healthy minds and confidence. There’s so much more to Ivy League. I can’t wait to share it all.

Recently (this week), I had to switch our reading material. I’ve noticed that the Ivy Leaguers have been extremely emotional. I observed that my friends were having a tough time dealing with what they were “feeling”. Some were dealing with feelings that may have started at home and some were dealing with feelings they experienced with their friends. So I switched things up a bit and we are focusing on different emotions, kindness and of course mindfulness. In effort to spread love and kindness, can you help the Ivy Leaguers by sending a wave to boost their spirits today. I’ll go first. Hiiiiiiiiii 👋🏾 🤗 Have a great day, on purpose!

Hiiiiiii! 🤗 My name is Mrs. Ayesha, the Harvard educated, founder of the Ivy League Day Care LLC. Ivy League was established in 2018 with the intent to provide above average, high quality childcare to families in need of care. Through the years, Ivy League has exceeded the baseline of expectations and experiences in the area of early childhood education and I couldn’t be more proud.
