The Johnston Family Foundation was incorporated in 2015 to enrich Gilbert and its surrounding communities with the benefits of urban agriculture. They're grown.

Great work going on around the valley.
Arizona’s Heart and Sol: Gardener helps donate 20,000 pounds of fresh veggies The group has grown and donated more than 20,000 pounds of food in seven years. The last two months alone, they’ve donated about 1200 pounds of fresh, organic vegetables to the Sahuarita Food Bank, all heading to families in need.

Farms don't have to be outside anymore - Marketplace Irving Fain, CEO of Bowery Farming, hopes growing crops in warehouses near cities will increase access to fresh produce.

New housing project breaks ground in Santa Clara combining urban living and a working farm It’s something we’ve never seen before in the Bay Area, a residential development in the heart of a major city that sits next to a sizeable, working farm.
