An Open Letter to Parents Today, you have more school options than ever. Listen to that voice inside telling you it’s time for a change. Tell us when you realized school could be better.

At the start of Spring Break, we began our classroom expansion in order to provide more freedom of movement and independence for our boys.

However, this post isn't about the school, the project, or anything education-related.

Prior to the demolition, my wife and kids volunteered to pull up old carpet, and remove tack strips and baseboards. Meanwhile, I moved furniture and reorganized our storage closet.

When I inspected their completed work, I was moved to tears. I was reminded in the subtlest of ways that my family is my strongest support. Their messages of hope, confidence, and love written on the concrete foundation (now under the classroom carpet) are literally with me - and my school - every single day. I may be going through this incredible journey on my own, but I am NEVER ALONE.

Thank you, Brittney Dowell, and our three kiddos, Delani, Chloe, and Tommy. Moreana Boys Academy and I would be nowhere without your unconditional love.

🎉 Congrats to the 12 finalists selected to move forward into the final stage of judging for the Enterprising Founder Award! Three of these twelve finalists will be selected in December to receive the grant funds! To the roughly 100 remaining applicants, there will be a lot of amazing opportunities in the coming months to have your work highlighted. We loved learning more about your ideas, and are inspired by all of the amazing entrepreneurial endeavors being developed in education! Stay tuned for the December announcement! 🔥

Moreana Boys Academy is wrapping up our 5th week of school. So far, we've spent time at Lake Pleasant, visited Plum Creek Alpaca's, started Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Quan Phu Jiu Jitsu, kissed a giraffe, and are well on our way to blacksmithing certification with the awesome instructors Iron Rhino Forge. When we're not exploring Arizona and learning new skills and trades, we're building friendships, learning at our own pace, and giving back through acts of service.
