Our mission is to honor each Town of Hoosick serviceman who was killed in action by flying Liberty over each one's gravesite, at home and abroad.

Each Town of Hoosick soldier who was killed in action has been honored by having our tribute flag, Liberty, flown over their gravesite. Patriot Guard Riders escorted her to Civil War cemeteries, Hoosick Falls Central School students took her to Hawaii, and then she traveled overseas where she flew over the cemeteries on foreign soil. Now, the mission of Liberty flag completed, the 102 white crosse

So proud of our Coffee & Camaraderie Vets! Took up a collection on Wednesday to purchase wreaths to help adorn Gerald B. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery and they contributed $150 with which we were able to sponsor 10 wreaths! (Sponsor 2 for $25 and get 1 free.)

To be sure your donation purchases wreaths for Saratoga, use the following procedure that was forwarded from Bill Schaaf, PGR NYS Ride Captain.

For those who wish to order a wreath on-line, go to www.wreathsacrossamerica.org.

Scroll down and enter the number of wreaths you wish to purchase.

Below that you will see a line for “Select Group To Support” - On the Search enter “NY0057” – Page will then indicate that this code belongs to “NY0057 -Patriot Guard Riders of Eastern NY (NY0057). I want to thank ElHannon Nursery, McNeilly's Florist, Hoosick True Value, and Moses Farm Stand for donating flowers for our Memorial Day float. They are all now adorning Liberty Memorial Park.

Thank you so much!

We've taken down the service flags at Liberty Memorial Park for the winter, as well as the flags of men who died in service who had not yet been adopted. With a white backdrop of snow and the flags gone, it's hard to see the crosses that are there, so we decided to add some greenery to make it a little more prominent and to honor these servicemen.

Thank you, Helene and Kevin Allard, from McNeilly's for donating a beautiful wreath for the kiosk, and Ruth and Jim Sutton of ElHannon Nursery for donating swags for the service flagpoles. You guys rock!

We still have 27 servicemen who need to be adopted, 22 are from the Civil War, 3 from WWII and 2 from WWI. Cost is $200 to purchase a memorial cross that includes their name, where and when they died, and the war in which they served.

So many lessons can be learned from this video.
Thank you Ross McGinnis and others who have paid the ultimate price for the sacrifices you made for our freedom.
