It’s Schedule Season!
Did you know that GISD 8th graders started drafting their freshman schedules last week? That’s right ... we’re talking about 13- and 14-year-olds making decisions that can shape the next four years (and beyond). As a parent and educator, that timing makes me a little nervous. Why? Because these early choices matter more than most families realize. The classes students take in 9th grade set the tone for everything that follows .... GPA, class rank, and ultimately, college options. A solid foundation in coursework and rigor pays off later.
Can we still help when your student is a junior? Absolutely. But when families start with us as soon as those high school credits begin (Algebra I, Spanish I, Computer Science, Health) ... the strategy becomes so much stronger.
If your student is eyeing Texas A&M (Top 10%) or UT Austin (Top 5%), now’s the time to make sure their schedule sets them up for success!! Freshman schedules matter. They’re not just boxes to check!! They are the blueprint for future opportunities.

Most families we work with come from referrals and we’re so grateful for every one of them. If you know a senior who’s still working through college essays or apps, it’s not too late.
We have a few spots open this fall and would love to help them finish strong.
Send them our way! [email protected]
