The work doesn’t stop when the season ends! 💪🏾

Today, five of our Georgetown High School wrestlers joined athletes of all ages, sizes, and skill levels at the Carolina Reapers Wrestling Academy clinic featuring 3x NCAA All-American and Iowa State Assistant Coach Drake Ayala 🏆.

Success isn’t built during the season….it’s built in the offseason! Every clinic, every practice, every rep, and every opportunity to learn from elite wrestlers helps our athletes grow both on and off the mat 🎉

We’re proud of these Bulldogs for investing in themselves and continuing to sharpen their skills! Their commitment is what separates good from great.

🎉 Another shoutout to our Wrestling Team Manager! 🎉

We already knew she was a rockstar on the mat side of things, but now she’s proving it in the classroom too. We’re incredibly proud to share that our very own team manager is graduating in the Top 10 of GHS c/o 2026 🎊🎉

Balancing academics, leadership, and the chaos of wrestling season is no small feat, and she’s handled it all with grit, grace, and a whole lot of heart 💙

Tonight, two of our team members were recognized with the Principal’s Award at the C.B. Dodson Awards Ceremony. Iman Lewis representing GHS and Charlie O’Donnell representing GMS 💙🩶

What an incredible honor and a true reflection of their hard work, leadership, character, and dedication both on and off the mat 🤼

These students represent what it means to lead with discipline, respect, perseverance, and heart 🔥. Your wrestling family is proud of you both for the example you set in the classroom, in competition, and in your communities!

Izzo is a great teacher. My journey as a mentor, coach and teacher is almost over. I have been blessed to be trusted to coach & mentor some great kids. Today though, I am amazed at the decrease in the realm of accountability from staff, students and most of all parent’s. Our education system is broken. It needs to be fixed starting at home.
