If you are driving by the high school, you may see some work happening. That's because our advanced Skilled Trades class is doing an overhaul to some of the landscaping at the high school! So far we've cleaned out all the old mulch, marked new lines for new beds, pulled out bushes, rented a sod cutter and cut out all our new landscape areas. We are continuing to do more the rest of this month and into May.
Our crew leaders of Gus Buffington, Chase Cooper, Carter Miller and Madden Witt all came up with plans, scaled drawings, budgets, mockups, and presented to our principal, guidance counselors, alumni, and superintendent to be able to make this project possible! With the help of their classmates, we are hoping to have some of the areas done by graduation for our community and school to enjoy!
Our students have put in many class hours for the pre-work, and now the labor. On top of that, some students are coming in after school hours and on their weekend to make this idea become a reality. We can't wait for you to see the final results! We are super proud of these students and what they are doing for our school!
