Aunt Tabi's Play Place will be THE place where your children grow with endless possibilities. I am a 41 year old mom of 4(+) with over 20 years experience in childcare. My own children are 24, 22, 18, and 13 and being a mom is truly my greatest joy in life so caring for other children has always been just a natural transition from parenting for me. I find that the love and joy in my heart for the

children in my care is no different or less than that I have for my own children. The worry when they get hurt or sick, the excitement and celebrations as they reach milestones and birthdays, the immense joy and gratitude I feel in getting to be a part of seeing them grow and learn every day, is just as strong. So when you bring your child to me for care, you are getting so much more than just a babysitter, because every child deserves far better. Instead, they will get every ounce of love, devotion, compassion AND care that I have to give and that they deserve. As a parent, you deserve to have that peace of mind knowing that your child is in the very best, safest, most loving and capable hands possible, and that is exactly what you will find here. Nothing less will do. ❤️

ATTN. NEW YEAR'S EVE ANNOUNCEMENT: 🎉

Hello and Happy Sunday beautiful, hard working parents! I hope this post finds you all doing well, recouping from the holiday stress and getting excited for the beginning of a new year. As we close the book on 2025 and ready ourselves to begin a new chapter, set out on a freshly paved path on this wild journey of life, a lot of you are making plans to celebrate and bring in the New Year. Aunt Tabi's Play Place would love to give you one less thing to stress about in those plans: New Year's Eve CHILDCARE! If you find yourself wanting to make plans to celebrate with friends and family, have a night to have fun, let loose and just enjoy yourself for the night but have little ones, worry and stress no more! I will be open to take children of all ages starting at 5pm New Year's Eve. Whether you just want to spend a few hours with friends, have a work party to attend, or would like to take your time to enjoy the night and not have to worry about needing to relieve a sitter at a certain time, preferring to be able to leave them overnight and pick them up in the morning, we can accommodate you. Dinner will be provided as well as breakfast the next morning if need be. You can go about your celebrations feeling confident that your little ones are in a safe, loving place, well taken care of.

When I say I'm going to "relax" at the end of a long week, what I REALLY mean is I'm going to take an hour on the couch to indulge in a box of Reese's pieces and a new Netflix show before getting up to vacuum up all the crushed cheez its and Ritz crackers all over my living room floor then finally empty out the pockets of my Dr. Seuss scrubs of all this.. And now that my feet and back have given out on me I will crash. 😂

Our little scientist, Dr. Angela! She said the mixture was chocolate milk. 😂 She combined grape, orange and lemonade koolaid, first in different combinations to see what they did, then just all together. I have a good feeling that this will be the generation of great minds, amazing inventions! They are so incredibly smart and creative and I am so incredibly blessed to be able to watch them and take part. Thank you to all the parents who allow me to share this with them. 💕

The monkeys got to be fishies today! 🐟 Lol! After a week of rain they finally got to use their new pool, although not for very long. Poor babies were shivering after 10 minutes. Guess it's not quite pool weather just yet.

So to teach the kids about not running in the house I tell them "Walking Feet" when they start running or getting too rowdy. Angela and Jonathan just LOVE to chase each other around in circles between the living room and kitchen and of course they get all excited and start running rounding those sharp corners. It never fails, someone bumps their head or takes a tumble and I'm constantly having to remind them about using our "Walking feet walking feet". So to help them we put these signs in the locations where they run around these corners.. so at the entrance to the kitchen from the living room where they always start their chase then as they round the corner coming out of the kitchen going into the hallway where they usually start getting faster and then finally they come back around into the living room and they start running again... They are learning several things with this: A reminder about following rules- Not running in the house, But also learning WHY we have that rule- SAFETY learning how to be safe, Of course helping them with their colors, AND they're learning about something that's in their everyday environment - Traffic Lights and what each color light means. So when we go out and when they're in the car with others, and they see a traffic light, they will be able to proudly tell everyone what they are supposed to do. It's always awesome when we can find an activity that can wrap multiple lessons into a single thing. And the best part is that they have SO MUCH FUN doing it! I LOVE that I get to be a part of helping these precious babies learn and grow, and seeing the proud smiles on their faces when they learn something new then tell their parents about it.. INCREDIBLE!! 💓
