It is with much sadness that I let you all know that Kelly Putnam died this morning. He had several strokes over the last several years and had been in a nursing home home. Please pray for his family. I will post arrangements when I know them.

Ashbrook class of 1978 has lost another good one!!! Bernard Howard. The biggest sweetest smile and his beautiful GREEN VW BUG!!! What a wonderful person and he will be greatly missed. This was his daughters post:

As many of you might have heard my dad has passed away. My dad was a fighter and I am so proud of him. He care so much for so many people and I am honored to be able to honor him. I want to thank everyone for the love and support we have received during this hard time. It truly has meant so much to us all. I love you dad, rest peacefully in heaven❤️🕊️

Ashbrook Alumni, this message is for you. We all remember when Ashbrook was one of the best traveling teams in the area. Fans would go anywhere in the state to watch their Greenwave play. This Friday night, Ashbrook plays historically strong South Point in Belmont for not only the second time this year, but in this SECOND round of the football playoffs. I want to take this opportunity to ask as many alumni to put on your winter clothes and make the trip to Belmont to support this great group of young men who have not had this good of a season in many, many years. We have a great group of young athletes and the future is bright! Gametime is 7:30PM and we need your support in the stands!
