2nd Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction

OUR focus during our centered around how we, too, can be SPECIAL CHANGE AGENTS in the world. Our nightly gathering complete with games, music, arts/crafts and unsalted vs salt snacks tied into our object lesson - SALT OF THE EARTH:

LEADER: Agents what is our mission?
YOUTH: To change the world for God
LEADERS: And how do we do it?
YOUTH: By the power of his love

We talked about how the properties of salt can have an impact. We shared how even cake or cookie recipes call for eggs, flour, butter and also a pinch of salt.

Matthew 5:13…”But you are the salt of the Earth…”

And while that might sound odd to put salt in something that will ultimately be sweet. Why use salt in the recipe?

Salt takes away BITTERNESS. Jesus had sent us out into the world as salt to stand against the bitterness, evil, wickedness, unkind acts that they see in school or even at home.

Lesson added that God’s Word is like the paint. It changes how we see things. It shows us that we are loved, and it helps us show that love to others. As his Change Agents, when we are kind or when we share, we are "painting" God's love on the world so everyone can see how good He is.

No matter your age you can have impact and influence for Christ!
