🌅 Up at 4:30 AM to get horses ready for the Ranch Obstacle Trail Ride at Plentywoods Venue in Elkins. What a blast! We had some moments where things got a little “western” with our green beans, but we all stayed on and enjoyed some new experiences. Beautiful day spent with beautiful animals, views, and people.

First cool morning of the fall, so we let our horses get some of their zoomies out in the arena before lessons 🐎 💨

We started lighting these two tall candles at dinner, and every time we do, my kids say, “Christ is the light of the world.”

The candles sit in the center of our table. They make dinner feel a little more special, but they also remind me what a difference it makes to keep Christ’s light at the center of our lives.

That’s one reason we share our faith through Anna Roan Ministries. A riding lesson is a special gift. Time in the saddle or at the barn can bring so much joy. But afterward, real life is still waiting, with its disappointments and challenges. We hope the faith we share can be a light for those moments, too.

Each Anna Roan scholarship recipient now receives a Bible and devotional chosen especially for them, along with their $600 scholarship for riding lessons. It’s a small way to share the hope that means so much to our family.
