GO Make A Difference

GO Make A Difference GO Make a Difference is a group funded by United Way Youth Venture. Our goal is to achieve our dreams by making a difference in people's lives.

GO Make A Difference is formed by a group of students from Leominster High School. The main goal is to go to Haiti someday and make a difference there. Since it is a process to collect the money for everyone we are not seating still. We are gaining experience by throwing birthday parties for homeless children and helping the community with Habitat for Humanity.

We are proud to announce that after 8 months, GO MAKE A DIFFERENCE has successfully brought to the people of Haiti our 40 foot container filled with medical supplies, clothing and food.

The arrival of the container in Haiti happened around when we had expected, but unfortunately, the process to get the container to our contacts there took longer than we had hoped. Because the complications happened in Haiti, our group tried our best to communicate with those in charge to get our container to the community in the South of Haiti (where our group had been working).

We are proud to share that on September 18th, we received news that our containers were in the hands of our contacts. People in Haiti were already in action, distributing items and supplies amongst their community.

GO MAKE A DIFFERENCE would like to thank each and everyone of you reading this post. Whether you personally donated items, money, or your time in getting to know who we are and what we do, YOU are helping to advocate and support our difference in Haiti.

Before, during and after pictures of today's event.
Thanks to everyone that helped us pack and thank you all for the donations. This is just the beginning, there is still a lot of space in the container to be filled. We have a good amount of clothing but still need more food, etc.
