For many families, the transition to adulthood can feel like stepping off a cliff.
The routines change. School-based supports come to an end. New systems, new paperwork, and new questions take their place. It’s a season that can feel overwhelming, especially when no one has explained what comes next. But this transition isn’t just about what ends. It’s also about greater independence and building new opportunities and a support system that grows with your young adult.
If your family is approaching this stage or already in it, we hope this carousel gives you a clearer picture of what to expect and a few practical places to start. You don’t have to figure it all out at once. One step, one conversation, and one resource at a time can make a big difference.
