The Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) Summer Showcase and Induction Ceremony celebrated the Fall 2026 cohort for successfully completing the EOP Summer Institute. During the four-week institute, students completed college preparatory coursework while participating in hands-on learning pathways that culminated in STEM or art projects. In just one month, students learned Linux while building PCs, explored how coding can be used for social good, and curated an art exhibition from concept to completion centered on self-conceptualization.

Among those in attendance were Dr. Maria Conzatti and Legislator Viviana Russell, who joined the Nassau Community College community in commemorating this milestone.

We are incredibly proud of everything our students accomplished in such a short time and are excited to celebrate the beginning of their journey at Nassau Community College. Congratulations to the Fall 2026 EOP cohort, we can't wait to see all that you'll achieve!

The New York State Excelsior Scholarship application is now open for the 2026-2027 academic year!

Eligible New Yorkers with a household income of $125,000 or less may qualify for tuition-free attendance at Nassau Community College and other SUNY schools. To be eligible, students must enroll full-time, complete at least 30 credits per year, and meet other program requirements. The application deadline is August 31, 2026.
