Recently student workers have been receiving emails from the college about “an emergency grant.” This money should have been distributed to students in the middle of the pandemic when Kenyon was given money by the federal grant to distribute to student workers. Why are they just now giving us this money? And where is this money for this grant even coming from? The trustees are coming! Join us this Friday at 4:30pm in front of Rosse Hall, where we will rally to demand that the Board of Trustees fix our broken healthcare system and prioritize students over sculptures!

The student healthcare system is broken and underfunded, our dorms and apartments are falling into disrepair, and mental health services are inaccessible for far too many of us. Yet the Board of Trustees have no plans to address the health and safety crisis on campus. Instead, they’re coming to campus to make unilateral decisions about our lives and pay homage to an enormous sculpture recently erected behind Chalmers. Let’s show them where their priorities should be!

THIS THURSDAY, 7PM @ HIGLEY AUDITORIUM: Don’t miss this once in a lifetime opportunity to learn strategies to identify and combat racism in the workplace from one of the most important labor organizers of our time!

How does racism show up in our workplaces, and even in our unions? What are some strategies to confront it through our bargaining, organizing, union culture, and community connections? And what can you say to union siblings who aren’t convinced racial justice has anything to do with union politics? This workshop will spark conversations that the labor movement needs.
