Trinity will be celebrating our identity as a Reconciling in Christ congregation as we continue to live out our welcoming statement. "Members of Trinity Lutheran Church are freed by the Gospel to seek reconciliation and wholeness in a world that is frequently an unloving place. We extend welcome to ALL, including people of all gender identities and sexual orientations, whether believer, doubter, or seeker. In Christ's love we invite you, so that led by the power of the Holy Spirit we will join together to strive for justice, peace and love in all the earth."
This year we will have a special focus on people of all gender identities. Mack Patrick will be leading our Adult forum and preaching at the 9:30 am service.
Mack Patrick (he/him/his) is a final year Master of Divinity Student at Wartburg Theological Seminary in Dubuque, IA. Originally from Colorado, Mack found his home away from home at Midland University in Fremont, NE where he received a degree in Youth and Family Ministry and Computer Science. While at the Castle he is active on campus and works with a local non-profit, St. Mark Youth Enrichment where he leads before and after school programs. Being apart of Proclaim, a ministry of Extraordinary Lutheran Ministries, he finds his voices as an out transgender man and looks forward to being called to serve a church.
All are welcome to worship and the forum.
