Our next meeting will be next Wednesday, 10/1.
We will be meeting outside of Malachowsky Hall for a building tour.
Why Malachowsky?
Malachowsky Hall is an interdisciplinary collaborative building, created to foster the sharing of ideas regarding artificial intelligence, data science, and information technology.
It has achieved LEED Platinum certification in the Building Design and Construction (BD+C) New Construction (NC) category.
By this standard, Malachowsky Hall is of the highest ranking for LEED certified buildings, demonstrating superior performance in sustainability, green design, and environmental stewardship.
Guiding our tour will be Dustin Stephany! Stephany has expertise spanning sustainable design, construction management, engineering, and building operations, bringing a wealth of knowledge about the field of green building. As UF’s leader in sustainable project development and his credentials as a LEED Accredited Professional, WELL Accredited Professional, Green Globes Professional, among others, he is more than equipped to go through the sustainable practices that make the building exemplary. Join us as he guides us through one of UF’s most advanced facilities, highlighting the strategies that make UF a national leader in green buildings.
