When you ride with some of the OG trail crew after a storm, an impromptu maintenance session often manifests. Suddenly hand saws and clippers emerge from backpacks and folks get stuck in! Friends of San Felasco

Spent 2 days at Ride Kanuga last week doing laps on Rhodo Ruckus and Deadwood to work on berms and flow. Feel like I made lots of progress (this is from my best run on Rhodo), still more to learn and it's hard when you only get a shot at riding this kind of stuff every couple of months. Such great trails, the crew at Kanuga do amazing work!

It's ! Get out and bike, hike, walk, run, ride or paddle! If you are going to San Felasco Hammock to ride bikes, be aware that Gone Riding is holding a race this weekend (practice Saturday, race Sunday). Race route attached (route in red). If you are riding the trails but not racing, consider taking Cellon Creek north out to the powerlines, and either riding up the hill to connect with Hammock Hub over to the east trails, or Bramble Ramble to Tortoise Tumble and up Tung Nut North. Suggested routes attached! Friends of San Felasco CSO

Another great work day today at San Felasco. We tuned the new rollers on Odd Buck to flatten them out a bit, and reinforced the corner that they feed into so there is more support if you come in hot off the rollers.

The green jump line at Ride Kanuga is so well done, the jumps vary in shape and size just enough to help you practice different levels of press and absorb, especially if you experiment with different speeds. These are the types of jumps my Intro to Air students can learn to land consistently and successfully, avoiding the school of hard knocks!

Final countdown! International Women's MTB Day is tomorrow! It's not too late to register for a skills clinic and/or put a group ride on your schedule.

Our MTB Fundamentals Clinic is at 9 am (register online at the MTB Trail Flow website), and we have guided group rides at 9 am and 1 pm (just come ready to ride and meet at the San Felasco MTB trailhead).

Weather looks like a nice cool morning, with the chance for some much needed rain as the day progresses. Should be a great day, rain or shine! Come on out and get some wheels on dirt with us!

Achieved my Intro to Air coaching certification from Global Syndicate of Mountain Bike Coaches - GSMBC during a long weekend at Ride Kanuga bike park in North Carolina. That means I can work with riders who have solid fundamentals and are ready to start getting their wheels off the ground, on small drops up to 2 feet high and on smaller tabletop jumps of 1 to 2 bike lengths. More info coming on my website soon, ping me if you have questions. See you in the air! And thanks to Josh Whitmore of MTB Skills Factory for helping me level up my riding and coaching once again!
