Itās the 2026 Center for Greek Studies Annual Awards Ceremony and many congratulations are in order! š¤
As this year comes to a close, the Center for Greek Studies took a moment to recognize some exceptional undergraduate students, awarding them with scholarships sponsored by our generous donors. These awards support our students as they continue to excel in their studies of Greek language, history, and culture, as well as pursue study abroad opportunities in Greece and Rome.
Congratulations to all student award recipients and thank you to the donors who continue to advocate for the CGS mission and these future scholars!

Third Annual UF CertamenāØ: On Saturday, March 7, UF hosted 50 high school and middle school students from 8 area schools to participate in Certamen, the quiz-bowl style game that tests students' knowledge of grammar, mythology, history, literature, and etymologies. Twenty teams competed across three divisions.

A story of alphabets, belonging, and overcoming otherness presented by Karen van Dyck, Kimon A. Doukas Professor of Modern Greek Language and Literature, Department of Classics, Columbia University.
