Post-Doctoral Bridge Program - University of Florida

The PDB Program is a 5-month certificate program for individuals with non-business Doctorate degrees who want to earn Scholarly Academic status with AACSB.

The Post-Doctoral Bridge program evolved from a 2003 report by AACSB's Doctoral Faculty Commission. The report concludes that in the U.S. alone there will be a shortage of approximately 2,500 business PhDs by 2012. In response to this critical faculty shortage and rising enrollments in management education, AACSB International announced its endorsement of PDB programs that prepare experienced and new doctoral faculty from academic disciplines outside of business for faculty.
