🤠🌵 Preschool 3 has been living life on the range this week!
Yesterday, our little cowboys and cowgirls panned for gold ✨ and practiced early math skills by using non-standard units of measurement to measure cowboy boots. 👢Today, they kept the Wild West adventures going by creating colorful cacti 🌵, making slithery paper plate snakes 🐍, and strengthening their pre-writing skills with line tracing!
Learning on the range sure is a rootin’ tootin’ good time! 🤎

💛 Feelings are a big deal, especially for our little learners! This morning, our Pre-K friends practiced identifying and expressing emotions using their feelings flash cards. They talked about how they were feeling, made the matching facial expressions, and then drew those expressions themselves! 😊😢😡😴Talking about feelings helps children build emotional awareness, learn how to communicate what they need, recognize emotions in others, and develop empathy and healthy coping skills. Every conversation gives them another tool for their emotional toolbox! 🧰💕 #

Calling all little athletes! ⚽️🥅 KickStart Soccer is coming to Winwood Children’s Center, giving our kiddos the chance to build soccer skills while learning teamwork, coordination, confidence, and sportsmanship—all while having tons of fun! 🌟

🖼 Painting with magnets was a fun way to explore physics, movement, and creativity! The children used magnetic wands to move metal pieces through paint, watching as the magnetic force pulled and guided the pieces across the paper. They experimented with moving the wands in different directions and observed how their movements changed the paths and designs the metal pieces created. This hands-on activity helped introduce the concepts of force, motion, attraction, and cause and effect while encouraging creativity and fine-motor development. 🎨 🖌

Calling all little chefs! 🍓👩‍🍳 Join us for the Kids Cafe at Winwood Children's Center, where children ages 3+ dive into the fun of cooking while building real-life skills. From teamwork to math and language development, every session is packed with learning and laughter.
