Since it’s founding on December 4, 1906, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity has supplied voice and vision to the struggle of African-Americans and people of color around the world. As we honored Brother Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Week, We reflected with deep appreciation and renewed commitment. This week was more than remembrance—it was a reaffirmation of our duty to serve and to act.

Dr. King reminded us that “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’” and that “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” Those words called us to move beyond comfort into action—serving our communities, standing for justice, and protecting the dream through our deeds.

This week strengthened our resolve to continue the work- Steadfast, Unmovable, Against All Odds. As we pressed forward, we carried with us the charge of our Jewel, Brother Vertner Woodson Tandy:

"We will fight til hell freezes over, then fight on the ice.”
