Get ready to meet Kate! She’s the owner of a local cafe and retail store, Coterie Market, and a Gator alum ✨ Hear from her about how UF helped to set her up for success as she built her business.
“My experience at UF has truly shaped me into the small business owner I am today. As a Warrington alumni, I’m proud to have built a meaningful space right next to campus that allows students to create new memories with friends through affordable workshops, shop from small artists from all over the country, and experience new flavors we incorporate into our rotating cafe menu that perfectly pair with our lattes and pastries.
I came to UF as an out-of-state student without knowing a single person, and within a month, I had already developed close friendships with people I still keep in touch with and spend time with seven years later. I only wish there had been a place like Coterie Market when I was a student, somewhere we could hang out late into the night chatting and studying as a change of scenery after long days on campus.
As a Business Management major, I was able to apply what I learned at Warrington to my small business shortly after graduating, ensuring that each step we took was calculated and intentional. Four years later, I am proud of how much Coterie Market has grown, and I could not have done it without my life and business partner, Braden. As a thank you, we’ve given back to UF organizations through donations, collaborations, and fundraising as official UF caterers!
We would love for you to visit if you have not stopped by yet or share how Coterie Market has impacted your experience here in Gainesville.”
