Congratulations to UF Political Campaigning student John "Sam" Jennings, for winning the Ralph E. Gonzalez Independent Spirit award for 2023. This memorial award recognizes the campaigning student who best embodies Ralph's unique spirit. Sam has approached the MA on his own terms, continue to work in nearly full time in campaigns throughout Florida while earning his degree. He has earned a reputation in the field as an excellent field worker and in the classroom as strong on strategy. Congratulations Sam!

Colson is this year's winner of the Walter G “Skip” Campbell Leadership award honoring the best overall student in the Campaigning program. Colson is dual enrolled in our program and at the University of Florida Levin College of Law.

Yesterday was Gator Day at the Florida State Capitol in Tallahassee. Andrew Wiggins, Senior Director of Campaigns and Elections at the Florida Chamber of Commerce had the opportunity to meet with University of Florida President Ben Sasse for a few minutes. Andrew Wiggins is an alumnus of the UF Political Campaigning Program He also had a few minutes with Albert and Alberta.

On March 3rd, University of Florida Political Campaigning Program held its first election forum since before the pandemic. Our afternoon panelists included Nikki Fried, Michael Binder, Sharon Austin, Alex Patton, Steve Schale, Andrew Wiggins. Joel Mendelson (far right) moderated a vigorous discussion of the upcoming 2024 electoral cycle. (Nikki, Alex, Andrew and Joel are all alums of the Campaigning Program).
The University of Florida has great alums. I'm very grateful to all who helped make this event successful, especially our alumni and staff. ,

On March 3rd, UF Political Campaigning held its first election forum since before the pandemic. Our morning panelists included Ansley Mendelson, Elizabeth Sena, Michael Cohen, Michael McDonald and William March. Alex Patton moderated (not pictured). The discussion of polling, turnout, messaging and other topics related to the 2022 electoral season was spirited and informative.
Ansley, Elizabeth, Michael Cohen and Alex Patton are all alums of the MA Campaigning Program.
