Gaffney High School, SC Class of 1984

Please keep classmate and reunion committee member, Steve Grant who lost his father, Carl Wh**ey Grant in your prayers. He was a great man and loved by all. Please keep Steve's family in your prayers. Keep also in your prayers, classmate Tabby Pope, as Mr Grant was her uncle. Borh of these classmates and reuniion committee members need our Prayers and love.

Friday 8 am, please meet at GHS for a reception for Alumni.
Assembly to follow at 9 am.
Afterward Blue Flamze is open to GHS 1984 class only. If you haven’t prepaid the cost to enter is 10 at the door.
Friday foorball game GHS vs Dorman. After game, Blue Flamz will be open to 1984 class only.
Saturday night, Reunion will be at AC Hotel. Doors will open at 5 pm. Banquet style dinner is from 6 to 8 pm.

Classmates I will be in Gaffney with t shirts and hoodies tomorrow (Monday) . I will post around lunch time where you can meet me to pick yours up. I will be in Gaffney all day into the evening. Feel free to contact me if you need to arrange a time via messenger or phone me. If you can’t meet me I’ll be glad to leave your shirts with Annie and or Veronica who has offered. Due to Hurricane Helene and continued power outages in Gaffney and Spbg, GHS has cancelled all events this week and the AC Hotel has cancelled our event at their facility. The Homecoming game has been rescheduled for Oct 25th against Dorman, and the Reunion will be held on October 26th to coincide with the revised schedule. We hope everyone can make the changes and attend.

The Planning Committee is meeting today to explore options. Currently, the school football game and the school homecoming activities are being rescheduled, and the committee is assessing available options for the Class of 1984 reunion. Updates will be provided as they become available.

Hello, class of 84! Please note that the meeting has been rescheduled to Saturday, August 24th at 10 a.m. at the Cracker Barrel in Gaffney, located at the Outlet Mall. Everyone is welcome! Only nine weeks to go!

Note: **Moving Forward **
This is a beautiful place with minimal work. A meal will be served. We will have a DJ, a cash bar, and an option (on your own) to stay in the newest and nicest hotel in Spartanburg. There's several areas to mingle along with a pool table in the lobby. We all deserve to relax and enjoy this time. The old saying "you get what you pay for" is true.
The schedule of the weekend is a work in progress with volunteers. The full weekend will be posted as it is finalized. Let's do this Class of "84".
As always you can help with these plans everyone has and will be welcome.
