Pre-writing doesn’t always need a pencil! ✏️
Before children are ready to form letters, their hands and eyes have to learn to work together. Pre-writing activities build finger strength, wrist stability, hand-eye coordination, and the control needed to move purposefully across a page. Building these skills first helps writing feel more natural—and much less frustrating—when it’s time to pick up a pencil.
It may look like play, but they’re building important writing skills one pom-pom at a time! 🤍
