Yesterday was William Woods University's annual senior scholarship and research event, where all seniors from varying disciplines got to present their research to the entire student body and varying professors. The honors program is endlessly proud of our seniors: Haley Herington and Jessica Ridgway who presented their research in the Honors Program allotted time. Our other seniors, Anna Hirschkowitz, Emma Griggs and Cecelia Heimos applied and were accepted into the University's evening Symposium competition! Fatima Hussain, a current Honors junior, who will be graduating next semester, was also accepted to present and compete in last evening's event on her research! And the top three placings of the competition was awarded to Anna Hirschkowitz (1st place), Fatima Hussain (2nd place) and Emma Griggs (3rd place). All three of these incredibly hard working honors students are also all biology majors! Congratulations to all the students who presented their research but the program is especially proud of our own honors students!

Wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving from the Honors Program!

To kick off our student spotlight is Marena Tellman! She is a
freshman and majors in Biology Pre-Med while minoring in Chemistry. Her reason for joining the honors program is:
"I decided to be apart of the honors program because I liked the idea of having a smaller group of people who were like minded. It really made first few weeks a lot easier! Also wanted to keep myself accountable through my school work and the honors housing was a nice plus!"
