Ressie Jeffries Elementary School is excited to announce Jeanellyn Beatty as its new Assistant Principal!

Mrs. Beatty has proudly served students and families in Warren County since 2014. Over the past 12 years, she has gained experience in both general and special education, developing extensive knowledge in collaboration, specially designed instruction, and supporting the growth and success of all learners.

Throughout her career, Mrs. Beatty has built meaningful relationships with students, families, and colleagues while fostering positive, inclusive learning environments. She believes that student success is achieved through strong school-home partnerships, encouragement, and a shared commitment to helping every child reach their full potential.

Mrs. Beatty is excited to continue her career at Ressie Jeffries Elementary School in this new role and looks forward to supporting students, staff, and families in the years ahead.

This week, we had the honor of recognizing a very special group of students with our new Heart of a Leader Award. This award was created in honor of Mrs. Helmick as she celebrates her retirement and the incredible love, leadership, and dedication she has poured into RJES throughout the years. It recognizes students who truly lead from the heart each and every day - just like she has done for our school community.

These students were chosen for showing kindness, compassion, responsibility, and leadership in both big and small moments. They are the students who include others, encourage their classmates, show respect, step up when needed, and make Ressie a better place simply by being themselves.

We are so proud of this year’s recipients and the example they set for others. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition and a special congratulations to Mrs. Helmick on her well-deserved retirement!

As we wrap up the school year, WCPS has begun adding Chromebook damage fees to School Funds Online for students who have outstanding device damages.

If you receive an email notification regarding a fee, please know that it is legitimate and connected to School Funds Online through WCPS. Payments may be made online through the link provided in the email, or families may send cash payments to the school office.

Paper copies of these fees will also be sent home with students for your records.

We appreciate your understanding and support as we work to repair and replace damaged devices for our students. Please feel free to reach out to the school office with any questions. Thank you!
