A little late posting, but wanted to share our Executive Officers for next year! Super excited to work with these student leaders!

We’d love for you to join us for our last concert of the year- our annual Spring Pop Show! This year we’re celebrating Nelson’s anniversary with music from the past 10 years. You don’t want to miss it!

Congratulations to our 9 singers selected for this year’s All-Region Choir!

Congratulations to Addison for winning our first cash prize for our cookie dough fundraiser! Buy cookie dough now through April 13 to support our end of year events and to start funding some cool stuff for next year!

After taking a few days to process I’m excited to share our fabulous UIL results. Our singers outdid themselves this year! They sang with passion, sensitivity, and heart.

Vivace- Sweepstakes (straight 1s from all judges)
Bel Canto- 2-1-2 in concert, and 1s in sight-reading
Bella Voce- Sweepstakes (straight 1s from all judges)
Nighthawk Chorale- (straight 1s from all judges)

This was truly a memorable UIL week, with all choirs singing so well. I could not have asked for more from our ensembles.

Some special firsts at this UIL: Nelson took its first mixed choir to UIL ever in Nighthawk Chorale and got straight 1s! And this was after a 2 hour delay from a Secure that turned into a full Lockdown (not a drill)! We were ushered straight from our bus into the auditorium to wait for the secure to lift and then ended up hiding in the sound booth for over an hour once a lockdown was called. Our singers handled themselves so well and then came out as the first choir after lockdown and got a clean sweep!

I could not be more proud of ALL our singers at the conclusion of an eventful and special UIL season! Bravo, Nighthawks!
